How to build thatched cottage

How to build a thatched cottage:
In the past, thatched houses have given the impression of being poor and declining.
But nowadays, more and more wealthy people, resorts, and theme parks are using this eco-friendly, green and sustainable thatch as a decorative material for the roof. The nature of the thatched cottage is undergoing a qualitative transformation. The thatched cottage is re-entering the people's vision with its rich historical and cultural atmosphere, natural and mellow life, and healthy and environmentally friendly qualities.

First, prepare the thatch (select material)
First of all, choose the thatch suitable for your own engineering style, you can choose natural thatch, or you can choose the new imitation ecological natural thatch produced by Leisure Thatch CO.,LIMITED, which is made of aluminum, PVC plastic and synthetic resin. The situation chooses the corresponding thatch. After the natural thatch is ready, it needs to be fixed in rows and rows.

Second, build a roof truss
The thatched roof is mainly chosen to be laid on a wooden truss. Traditionally, China's wooden trusses are mainly herringbone trusses, while in Africa and other places, shaped herringbone trusses are more common.
This type of roof truss installation differs from the installation form of trusses in China. The construction steps are as follows:

1. Fix 2 temporary columns in the middle of the room to the position where the roof elevation is required. Depending on the indoor area, three or more columns can be symmetrically fixed.
2. On the two or more columns, a crosspiece fixed, as the ridge purlin.
3. Symmetrical installation of the tweezers, one end fixed on the crossbar, one end fixed on the wall or on the beam. If it is fixed on the beam, reserve the corresponding wire or steel bar with a diameter of 8~12mm when pouring the beam, the spacing is about 1~1.5m.

4. Install the slanting columns and the purlins to reinforce the trusses according to the construction requirements. The spacing of the beams is about 0.5 to 0.7 m and is proportional to the length of the thatched unit
5. When the roof is laid, the saw is cut from 0.8 to 1.2 m from the upper end of the column.
